I must say that I am not a huge fan of trying new things. I tend to find my favorites in every category and stick with them. On the rare occasion I do try something new I’m always hoping it will be so good that I will adopt it as one of my favorites. This was the case with Ethiopian Coffee. I used to only drink Folgers. It was affordable and readily available at any grocery store. The taste wasn’t bad either. It just tasted like every other generic coffee around; I am excited I tried something new. Ethiopian coffee has a very distinctive taste that is hard to describe. All I can say is try it. I found the initial batch I bought at a local specialty coffee shop. I have since joined the Coffee Lover’s Club with Camano Island Coffee Roasters, so that I can get my Ethiopian Coffee in the mail each month and not worry about them running out.

Graduation Present for Daughter

She has attention deficit disorder, so I know that it was very difficult for her to concentrate in school. She graduated with very good grades, though, and the principal honored her at the graduation ceremony. I have been planning on replacing the grill that we have at home but I was not sure what brand to get. I really like the features of the new Q220. There are a lot of industry experts who have rated it highly because of its innovative grilling technology. I have also read reviews saying that its features are easy to use. That is definitely a good thing for me because I am not really experienced when it comes to grilling. I like its simple design and I really think that it is something that you would like to have in your backyard. My Son Would Like the FIFA 12 Game for His Birthday

I was thankful to hear that, because his birthday was just around the corner, and I have been searching nonstop for a game he would like to play. I found the FIFA 12 game. I know he would like to play this, because he has began to be interested in soccer. Even though it can be a little difficult to learn the actual sport of soccer, the game would teach him how to play in a video game standard. I know he is going to love FIFA 12. Horse and Carriage Ride in Berkshire Leads to Romance
Tuesday, June 28th, 2011We were bored one night and hired a horse and carriage in Berkshire. Talk about fun, this was a great idea. Sure, I’ve been to weddings and events that would hire a carriage, but this ride was brought on by just a friend who said, “Let’s hire a horse and carriage.” I was ready to hire a taxi, but not one with legs. I’m glad we did it, and I’ll tell you why. I had been friends with this girl for years. We worked together and would go out as friends. I think she knew I had feelings for her, but she never would let on. She was just as shy about getting into a relationship as I was. Well, on that carriage ride she got close to me and put my arm around her. She said she didn’t want to end the ride without pretending to be a couple. I just popped off and asked her if she would really like to be a couple. She told me she would let me know at the end of the ride. When the horse stopped, I didn’t say anything. The girl who was my friend kissed me and let me know she was now my girlfriend. Don’t underestimate romance.

I Love Hard Candy
Tuesday, June 28th, 2011I love all sorts of candy – soft and chewy, sweet and sour, and even spicy candy. My favorite, though, is hard candy. Whenever my grandfather came to visit, he always brought me a handful of hard candy as a treat. Sometimes he would take me down the street to the candy store and let me pick out my own. I loved the suckers, as well as the small hard candy that would last for a long time while I sucked on them. My favorite flavors are cherry, lemon, and apple. I always made sure to choose some of each flavor, and they would usually last me until the next time my grandfather came to visit. Now that I am older, I plan to start the same tradition with my own grandchildren. It will be that something special that my grandchildren will remember when I am gone. I hope it is a tradition that they will carry on with their own grandchildren.

Monday, June 27th, 2011I am an Executive Chef and the biggest clean up I ever had to do was to clean up after a banquet for 1800 people. We used china plates, china saucers, real crystal glasses and real silverware. The plate up of the event left us with a big mess as my workers were dropping small portions of food on the floor as we were plating up. Then came the real fun, cleaning up after everyone left.
The hall itself actually needed the employment of one of those hydraulic driven pressure washers to get some very stubborn stains off the floor. But never mind that – think about all those dishes and cutlery that needed cleaning up.
Did you ever have to wash 1800 plates or 1800 crystal glasses. How about 1800 forks or knives or spoons? I can tell you that the clean up took just as long as the preparation of the food did. We only have one dish machine that holds 25 plates at a time, The machine was running constantly for over 8 hours (I thought we were going to need a new one after that event), with two dish washers running pots and pans while one dish washer kept the dish machine going. The easiest part was the linens although it took about an hour to remove all the linens and bag them up.
